Privacy Policy
ERP Query Studio
Last updated: July 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Brandon Albrecht, a sole proprietor (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the ERP Query Studio desktop application (the “Software”) and the erpquerystudio.com website (the “Site”). ERP Query Studio is a desktop application, and this policy is written to be clear about what we do not collect as much as what we do.
1. The short version
- We do not receive your query results or your Oracle data. The Software connects directly from your device to your own Oracle Cloud ERP environment. Query results flow from Oracle to your device and are not transmitted to us.
- We do not receive your Oracle Cloud ERP credentials. They are stored on your device using your operating system’s secure credential store (macOS Keychain / Windows Credential Manager).
- We collect only the limited information needed to license the Software, process payment, keep the Software reliable, and operate the Site.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account and license information
When you start a Trial or purchase a Subscription, we (and our licensing provider) process your email address and license/subscription status to issue and validate your license.
2.2 Device/licensing identifier
To enforce per-Seat licensing, the Software generates and transmits a device identifier (machine fingerprint) to our licensing provider when you activate, validate, or deactivate a license. This identifier is used to associate a Seat with a device and to prevent license sharing. It is not used to track your activity within the Software.
2.3 Payment information
Purchases are processed by a third-party Merchant of Record. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details; the Merchant of Record processes payment and provides us with transaction and subscription status (e.g., that a Subscription is active).
2.4 Diagnostic and crash data (enabled by default; you can turn it off)
The Software sends anonymized crash and error reports to our error-monitoring provider to help us diagnose and fix problems. Diagnostic reporting is enabled by default; the Software tells you about it the first time you run it, and you can turn it off at any time in the Software’s settings (“Send Anonymous Error Reports”). These reports are scrubbed of secrets and connection details before transmission and do not include your query results or credentials.
2.5 Site information
The Site may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic, and processes information you submit through forms (such as an email address to be notified about the launch). The Site does not use advertising trackers.
3. Information we do not collect
- The contents of your queries or their results.
- Your Oracle Cloud ERP credentials.
- Your Oracle business data, in any form.
4. How we use information
We use the information above to: (a) provide, activate, and validate your license; (b) process payments and manage Subscriptions; (c) provide support; (d) diagnose and fix defects and improve reliability; (e) send service and transactional communications; and (f) operate, secure, and improve the Site. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Legal bases (where applicable)
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on: performance of a contract (licensing, payment, support); our legitimate interests (security, fraud and license-abuse prevention, product improvement), balanced against your rights; consent (where required); and legal obligation.
6. Service providers and sub-processors
We share limited information with vendors who process it on our behalf, each only to the extent needed for their function:
| Provider | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Licensing provider (Keygen) | License issuance, activation, validation | Email, license key/status, device identifier |
| Merchant of Record (to be designated at launch) | Checkout, billing, tax | Payment + contact details (held by the provider) |
| Error monitoring (Sentry) | Crash/error diagnostics | Scrubbed, anonymized diagnostic events |
| Email provider | Transactional and account email | Email address |
| Hosting/CDN | Serving the Site | Standard server/request data |
7. International transfers
We and our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
8. Data retention
We retain account and license information for as long as your Subscription is active and as needed for legal, tax, and accounting purposes, after which we delete or anonymize it. Diagnostic data is retained for a limited period per our provider’s settings.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@erpquerystudio.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we hold. The Software is designed so that your most sensitive data — credentials and query results — remains on your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
11. Children
The Software is a business tool and is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, additional notice.
